The light to my fire........

This past weekend, Jgurl, Pokey and I went to the scrapbooking convention, CKC, that was in town. The convention is put on by Creating Keepsakes, and its the latest and greatest in all scrapbooking trends, supplies, and vendors.

You can take classes.

You can shop the vendor faire.

We did it ALL!

We took 2 classes Friday, shopped, and then came back and did 2 classes on Saturday and shopped some more! Heidi over at Eight Days A Week joined us Saturday.

The classes showed up late July online, and registration started mid August. We have been patiently waiting, waiting, waiting, for 11/9/12 to roll around. Probably one of the few days a year I don't mind GETTING UP EARLY.

It just gets my creative juices flowing to go to this event every year. Surrounded by the craftiest ladies, and given time to make some beautiful projects, CKC is the place to be!

The vendor faire is like crafty crack. Seriously. You walk in there, and you know you want it ALL. No two ways about it. They have all the newest stuff, plus ways to organize and contain all your scrapbook supplies. Excuse me while I wipe the drool from the corner of my mouth, and gird my loins. I am about to max out my credit card.

I took away a few things from these two days I want to share with you:

Girlfriends are the best. They make you laugh until you cry, share things you would never share with a man, offer great advice, and most importantly, we pick each other up when one is down.

It is true. Bellevue women have NO idea how to park. And all of their cars were smaller than mine. UGH.

Women can be some of the rudest creatures out there. If I would have been bumped with a shoulder bag ONE MORE F-ING TIME this weekend I would have been in jail. People, respect other people's space and for gods sake, say excuse me when you run in to someone! Where were these people raised? In a barn?

I came home exhausted, but energized. You know what I mean? I was ready to craft away. I got some great ideas, learned some awesome new techniques, plus some thrifty ways to conserve my supplies. I cant wait for next year's registration!!!!

Will post some pictures once I complete the projects I am working on.

Glad you had such a great time! But is it bad that I kinda wanna see you get bumped by a shoulder back one more effing time so that a) I can see you go ballistic; and b) then bail you out?
